We Know Folsom and Fair Oaks!

When gold was discovered in 1948 in what is now known as "The Gold County," mining camps sprang up all along the rivers. Because Folsom is blessed with the American River, it was home to many miners. Today, residents enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming along the American River and Folsom Lake. These waterways have shaped the community. The Folsom Museum is a great place to learn more.
